What is the Hunch skill for Bankr?+
Hunch is a prediction-market app. The skill teaches @bankrbot to discover Hunch markets from your message, place a YES/NO bet that settles in USDC on Base, then track the position and read the result — all in the conversation. It’s the only Bankr skill that closes a full prediction loop with real on-chain settlement and a verifiable proof for every bet.
What is Bankr / @bankrbot?+
Bankr is a hosted agent you tag on X and Farcaster. It can act on-chain from your Bankr wallet — and with the Hunch skill, it can bet on Hunch markets for you and pay automatically via x402.
Do I need to install anything?+
Just one thing, once: ask @bankrbot to install the Hunch skill (there’s a copy-paste command in Get started). After that there’s nothing to download and no Hunch account — your Bankr wallet just needs a little USDC on Base, and you bet by tagging @bankrbot.
How do I place a bet?+
Tag @bankrbot with what you want — a cashtag and a size (“take YES on $BNKR hitting $100M, $5”), or a question (“odds bankr beats pump.fun this week?”). It replies with the market, live odds and sized chips; you pick a side and confirm once.
What does it cost?+
Just your stake — $1 to $9 per bet — plus a small market fee (about 2%), shown in the quote before you confirm. Everything settles in USDC on Base.
Which chain and token?+
Base, in USDC. Settlement uses x402 (an EIP-3009 USDC transfer), capped at $10 per request.
How do I know the outcome is fair?+
Markets resolve from public data — DexScreener market caps on Base, on-chain launchpad volume via Dune — not a Hunch opinion. Every bet returns an on-chain BaseScan proof, and each market page links the exact source it settles from.
How do winners get paid?+
Most markets are parimutuel: the pool is split pro-rata among the winning side and paid out in USDC on Base when the market resolves. If a round had only one bettor, the stake is refunded in full.
What if I don’t have enough USDC?+
The bot won’t dead-end. It offers a smaller bet that fits your balance, or a swap of one of your tokens to USDC on Base. A swap moves your funds, so it only ever swaps a token you name and a swap you explicitly approve — never automatically.
Can I see my bets and whether they resolved?+
Yes — “show my Hunch bets” returns your open and resolved positions with live PnL, and “did the … market resolve?” returns the outcome and payout. When a bet you placed settles, Bankr can announce it in the original thread with proof.
Is this financial advice?+
No. Hunch markets are peer-to-peer prediction markets that settle in USDC on Base. Betting carries risk of total loss, this is not financial advice nor an offer where prohibited, and you’re responsible for compliance in your jurisdiction. Hunch may decline or refund a bet that can’t be settled.
